I saw Paul Neufeld playing an MS2000 with Rivethead and thought I heard some interesting possibilities. Then later I was rewarded for all the time I spent wading through thousands of useless posts on rec.music.makers.synth with one article offering a used MS2000R for sale locally.
Though the name is an obvious (and successful) attempt at cashing in on the popularity of the old MS-20, with its 4-note polyphony and built-in arpeggiator (and wood panels on the keyboard version) this unit would be more accurately described as a direct descendant of the Mono/Poly. This synth was later re-packaged as the MS2000B and then again as the MicroKorg.
